My washing machine broke today...

Seriously...

This is not one of those "the dog ate my homework" excuses.  My washing machine is REALLY broken.

Let me tell you what happened.

I finally, finally, finally decided to just wash all the clothes.  No matter how much I didn't feel like it.  I did several loads.  Then, when I only had 2 loads left, I went to put the cloths in the dryer, but they were sitting in a washer full of water!!!!

I tried to restart the load, but nothing.  I got nothing.  It was like the power went out... but it didn't.  I guess my washer wasn't used to all that work.

Isn't that ridiculous?

Anyway, we are going to get another washer tomorrow.  Well, we are gonna buy one tomorrow. Hopefully, we can get it delivered really soon.  That will teach me to procrastinate.

I did it, I did it, I did it...YAAAY!

If you don't have a kid that watches Dora the Explorer, you don't understand the title of this post.  Dora the Explorer is the kid whisperer.  When she's on the TV, I get all KINDS of things done!  I've ironed and put away clothes, cleaned the last of the Thanksgiving pots and pans (uh, yeah...three days later...remember no judging!) and done some self grooming (another post, another time...just sayin').  I actually feel guilty about parking him in front of a television.  I mean, shouldn't I encourage him to mentally stimulate his self with toys, puzzles and numerous other things that he has to play with?  I do that sometimes but, you know what?  Dora is my easy button and damn it...I refuse to let her go!  I mean, I refuse to deprive my son of this show that he loves so well. *side eye*

All hail DORA the EXPLORER!

Thanks Universe.

I really think the Universe is opposed to me cleaning...

Seriously.  I woke up this morning - all ready to get a handle on my housework which includes cleaning up and doing the mound of laundry whose enormity has been increasing for month or so.

But then stars aligned themselves and I got a crick in my neck. My chiropractor doesn't open till Monday.  I guess I won't get to that laundry for at least a couple of days.

That is clearly a sign that I need to craft more.

Hi. My name is Ayana and I NEVER mop.

Well, let me take that back.  I have mopped before, I just don't remember when.  Cleaning my floors consist of pouring water and cleaner on the floor and wiping it up with a towel...

The point is I am no domestic diva.  On any given day, you will probably find piles and piles of laundry needing to be laundered, dishes that need to be washed, counter tops that should be cleaned and toys strewn about the floors. I prefer to make crafts and cook delicious meals than to keep my house spotless.

So, that's me.  Do you mop?

Hi. My name is Rochelle. And...what's a mop again?

What's going on y'all?  I'm Rochelle.  I am Terence's wife and Picard's mama.  Picard is two and he is TRULY a toddler.  I work full time as an Admin. for an Architecture firm, I'm finishing up the last part of my BA in Educational Studies (wanted to be a teacher...changed my mind) and I make handmade greeting cards...a lot. I blog about my cards HERE.

So, um yeah...I'm busy and because I have all this stuff to do...I simply refuse to even remotely attempt the arduous task of keeping my home spic and span.  I simply can't fathom how it can be done.

Some days I'm NOT okay with that...most I am though.  DON'T you JUDGE ME! LOL!

Surely you're not mopping....are you?
